Purchase of Alaska

This cartoon is about the Purchase of Alaska. The cartoonist’s message on this issue was that it was a burden. The cartoonist used symbolism and labeling to make this cartoon more persuasive.  Symbolism was use to symbolize that Alaska was just an iceberg with no value. Labeling was used to label Russian American, treaty, and 7,000,000. This cartoon supports my opinion on imperialism because it shows Alaska as a useless burden.
