This political cartoon is about the issue of the Panama Canal. The cartoonist message on this is that we just came in Panama just dug are canal. I can imagine people having a negative neutral and positive opinion on this. I can see multiple views on this because some people like the idea of a canal in some people don’t some people just they’re not bothered by it or they don’t have an opinion towards it. The techniques used to make this cartoon persuasive was symbolism and exaggeration. Symbolism because they’re saying that we just came in and just cut panama half with a shovel Jamaica now. I played exaggeration is used because the man taking out the canal is larger than the land so they’re exaggerating his size to show his power and he’s also taller than the guy standing on the ledge. This cartoon supports my position on American imperialism face cause its showing how much power America had a place that we had too much power.
