Roosevelt Corollary
Spanish-American War
This political cartoon about the issue of the Spanish-American war. Cartoon this message on this issue is that America just
protected the Cubans and that American she stayed on their land and protected
them. I can see people having many different opinions on this one thing that we
should not have protected the Cubans another being that we should done more.
The techniques used in this cartoon to make it persuasive for symbolism and
analogy. Symbolism is used with flag meaning America protected the Cubans and
the lady represent Cuba. Analogy because the woman is the woman is being
compared to the Cubans or rather after she’s basically she is the Cubans weak
and helpless. Cartoon supports my opinion imperialism because its saying once
again how much power we had and I believe we have too much.

Annexation of Hawaii
This cartoon is about the annexation of Hawaii. The cartoonist’s message on we stole all of the queen’s power. I can imagine other people having a negative opinion towards this because they believed that it was unfair to Hawaii. The techniques that cartoon is used to make this cartoon persuasive was an analogy and symbolism. Analogy was used because they’re comparing sandwiches to power. Symbolism is used because the Queen can no longer to get what she wants where to get anything. This cartoon supports my opinion on American imperialism because it takes it to next it’s saying it’s an extreme and it takes away her power, which I do not think is a good plan.

which I do not think is a good plan
.
Open Door Policy
This cartoon is about the open door policy. The cartoonist's message is that America blocked the door even though they opened it, and they put the open door policy in place. I can imagine people having negative opinions to this because they say America shouldn’t have even though they said they wouldn’t or say that a lot to make sure this wouldn’t happen they didn’t anyways they shouldn’t have a monopoly over China. Make used in this cartoon is exaggeration and symbolism. Exaggeration because they’re showing Uncle Sam as larger than the other ones and they’re exaggerating his size to show his power. Symbolism because the key symbolizes the open door policy because it’s the key to open the door. This cartoon supports my position on American imperialism because it shows once again how much power are we had over other countries.

Panama Canal
This political cartoon is about the issue of the Panama Canal. The cartoonist message on this is that we just came in Panama just dug are canal. I can imagine people having a negative neutral and positive opinion on this. I can see multiple views on this because some people like the idea of a canal in some people don’t some people just they’re not bothered by it or they don’t have an opinion towards it. The techniques used to make this cartoon persuasive was symbolism and exaggeration. Symbolism because they’re saying that we just came in and just cut panama half with a shovel Jamaica now. I played exaggeration is used because the man taking out the canal is larger than the land so they’re exaggerating his size to show his power and he’s also taller than the guy standing on the ledge. This cartoon supports my position on American imperialism face cause its showing how much power America had a place that we had too much power.

Open Door Policy
This cartoon is about the open door policy. The cartoonist’s
message on this is that everybody took advantage of China and without even
consulting him or her. I can imagine people having multiple opinions on this
such as that it was unfair, and that one would be that we didn’t need the
Chinese opinion. The cartoonist used analogy and symbolism in this cartoon to
make it persuasive. Analogy was used to compare the pie to China’s recourses. Symbolism
was used because everyone got a piece of pie or China’s recourses without China’s
say. This cartoon supports my opinion because once again America and everyone
else had too much power and it was unfair.
